Coordination and Trust in Open Distributed Systems
نویسنده
چکیده
The essence of this paper is that (a) e ective coordination between the members of an open group of agents relies on the existence of certain regularities in the group, which usually depend on the application at hand, and, (b) that such a regularities must be imposed on the individual members of the group, by some kind of higher authority. We have described here a mechanism that provides a exible and reliable means for establishing a wide range of such regularities, by declaring them explicitly as the law of the group. DisTriB: Distributed Trust Management Model Based on Gossip Learning and Bayesian Networks in Collaborative Computing Systems
The interactions among peers in Peer-to-Peer systems as a distributed collaborative system are based on asynchronous and unreliable communications. Trust is an essential and facilitating component in these interactions specially in such uncertain environments. Various attacks are possible due to large-scale nature and openness of these systems that affects the trust. Peers has not enough inform...

متن کاملStatement Chung - Wei Hang November 2011
My research studies trust-based coordination among agents in dynamic, open systems. Such systems arise. Modern systems (e.g., service-oriented systems) embrace a distributed setting where a system consists of multiple autonomous parties. These individual parties have their own goals and achieve them by interacting with each other. Trust provides a basis for effective interaction, helping agents...
متن کاملCoordination Requirements for Open Distributed Systems
This work discusses the central requirements of coordination models suitable for open distributed systems and evaluates some commercially available systems w.r.t. these requirements. Finally, the design of the Objective Linda coordination model is sketched.
متن کاملStudying Dynamic behavior of Distributed Parameter Processes Behavior Based on Dominant Gain Concept and it’s Use in Controlling these Processes
In this paper, distributed parameter process systems behavior is studied in frequency domain. Based on the dominant gain concept that is developed for such studies, a method is presented to control distributed parameter process systems. By using dominant gain concept, the location of open loop zeros, resulted from the time delay parameter in the process model, were changed from the right half p...
